CatScribe Translate is an offline-first desktop application designed to process translations locally whenever possible.
Data we process
CatScribe does not collect personal data by default. The application can be used fully offline without any account.
Optional cloud-based features may require authentication and may process user-provided content according to the provider you choose.
How we use data
- Translation processing may occur locally or through external APIs depending on your configuration.
- We do not sell personal data. Third parties are involved only when you enable external providers.
Telemetry
CatScribe may send minimal, anonymous telemetry to improve stability and performance (for example crashes, timing, and feature usage). It does not include the text of your documents. You can disable telemetry in the app where that option is available.
Storage
Project data stays on your device unless you explicitly upload content or use a cloud feature.
Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect data in our systems and to support safe processing of translation tasks.
